Medicine is going through major changes, in terms of scientific progress, and in terms of methodology. New drugs, non-invasive technologies, genetic engineering radically modified medical science. While until a few years ago the medicine was based upon the personal opinion of experts, today the approach is guided by scientific evidence.

Medical knowledge doubles every 4.5 years. This means that since my degree in Medicine and Surgery, in 1985, medical data have undergone a 30-fold (or 3000 %) increase. The great amount of information available is amplified by media, especially by the web.
I felt that it could be useful for patients, confused by many news, to provide an update of latest knowledge in my field, Urology. I hope that this website might help people to better understand main urological topics.
